So I decided I am going with a dmc alien exhaust does any one know what type of jets I will need. Where i ride it's rocky mountains, and higher elevation and does anyone have a good air filter for sale? If you have a pipe set of jets and air filter I'll buy it. Thanks everyone .

For better response you could post this in the wanted section.

You may care to grab a few main jets #280 to #320.

Depending on what type of filter, where you install it and wether the air box lid is on.

In my experience I find the DMC to be quite thirsty, and likes the needle to be on the lowest (richest) setting, but at elevation you may have to use the fourth clip position.

When dealing with elevation jetting, you should plug chop to confirm the main at WOT, and also plug chop the needle at 3/4 throttle, using B8ES plugs.

The stock #32.5 pilot will be ok, but the float level must be correctly set and the idle correctly adjusted before proceeding to change any other mixture settings.

If you need info on plug chops and idle setting ect, just ask.

Plug chop.

Warm up motor to operating temp.

Fit new B8ES plug, ride through the gears and hold WOT in 5th or 6th gear for 10 seconds, or as long as you can safely.

Switch off the motor and pull in the clutch, roll to a stop.

Take the plug out and replace the old one for the ride home.

Carefully cut the threaded end off the plug to expose the insulator.

There should be a smoke ring of a cardboard or biscuit colour around the insulator.

If it is non existant or a very light colour, you are lean and require a larger main jet.

If it is a lot darker you are rich and may go down a size in main.

I prefer to run a little on the darker side, I may loose a little power but it is worth it for the peace of mind that I won't need a rebuild so soon.

This is a good to go plug.

This one is a little rich, but I would run it, I like to be on the safe side.
