Whats up! I just up graded my stock exhaust to an FMF Fatty and Powercore 2 silencer..What a huge differance but now its too lean and getting hot..I have a 240 main in right now and obviously needs a bigger jet..What would be a good place to start on the jetting..The carb is stock and the only other thing I did was put some Boyesen Power reeds in..If any one has any advice they wouldnt mind sharing I would greatly appreciate it..Thanks Kurt

P.S. I ran it full throttle up the road and pulled in the clutch and pulled the plug and its grey and dry..It isnt getting enough fuel I think..Thanks Kurt

Ya from stock..The stock is very restrictive..The FMF is more flow so needs more fuel to run..Huge differance from 240 to 260..The throttle rips now..No bogging anywhere anymore..Used to have a slight bog with stock exhaust in the topend of every gear and switched to the FMF exhuast and powercore 2 silencer and the bike came alive..I also switched to a 14/40 gearing and went from stock exhaust and stock gearing 13/40 to 14/40 is Tremendous differance..It just made my day not getting smoked too bad by a modded 400EX..Kurt

Thanks Ron89 for the 260 and airbox lid on suggestion..I was riding yesterday with 260 and air box lid off and still bogged a bit but today put the airbox lid on and WOW huge differance no bogging anywhere definatley the best the bike has ever been..Thanks again Kurt

Take the lid off and put in a 310, if it sputters instead of bogg, then work your way down until it has no bogg or sputt. Also check your clip, nobody talks about that anymore but the needle clip is the most important jet. If you get a lot of whooooooooooooooooooooooooaaaahhhhh before the power band kicks in than that is a sign of lean needle clip.
