I was looking over this FMF fatty pipe and the pipe that actually bolts to the cylinder head and then slips into the pipe is a bit loose fitting. Is this correct?

Its not real bad but im used to them not being loose at all.Can i simply bolt this all together on my quad and then weld it all together? Is there any down falls to this? Will it make future pipe removal impossible?

Ive read on here some guys using RTV silicone at the joints and id rather not do this with a perfectly good welder sitting about in my garage.I only plan to weld the first section not the silencer.

Good or bad idea?

they will be alittle loose. the springs will hold it on.. you CAN weld it BUT you will want to pull the studs out of the jugg and use bolts to help with removing.. i used copper high temp rtv on my fmf and it never leaked

agreed "permatex ultra copper" works like a champ

did you change your jetting i have an 02 with a dg silencer just bought a fmf fatty its got an old k&n filter but stock outherwise.

yeha you should jet up a few sizes. get like a 250 260 and a 270 and see what one is best. do the plug chops and you cant go wrong.
