i just bought a used eshaust off of a member on here, and its got a decent amount of rust. i was wondering can i either sand it down and paint it black to match my bike, or can i get it all shined up.

what can i do, help?!

Thanks!

yup, or you can just polish the sh*t out of it then clear it.
use increasing grits of sandpaper then take a wheel w/ red then a wheel w/ white compound to it....i'd use some kinda engine enamel or something to coat it. regular spray paint will bubble due to the heat.
of course the best way would be to powdercoat it.

i have super fine steel wool, and its working. do i just keep rubbing til the rust/pitting is all gone, then chrome polish it?

I agree 100% but personally wouldnt PC it just polish and keep polishing it. When its all done youll have some pretty good time into it as does ne thing you polish but you wont be unhappy. Get some pics as soon as its done.

im going to keep it chrome. i did the mid pipe (i guess thats what youd call it, the one that connects the pipe to the silencer) today and it looks great! i got a cheap little buffer that i polished it with, and it looks great!

so now the pipe and silencer are tomarow, ill take before and after pics for yall!
