exhaust leak between pipe and cyl

so i've got the red n black beast togather and rippin but still working out some bugs. next on the list is

thing thing has a crazy bad exhaust leak between the cyl and pipe, its shooting smoke out in all directions around that area to the point it will smoke you out if you sit in one place to long. when you hit the throttle theres more smoke coming out there than the tail pipe. its almost like it blows the pipe away from the motor when you hit the throttle but its got brand new springs and a new ring gasket thing between pipe and cylinder. could it just be that the ported 240 is just putting out more exhaust than the fmf fatty can handle?

my fmf did that too u just cut the spring a lil bit then made a new loop on it ohh and get some hight temp rtv and seal it up

The big thing here is the rtv, that will be the seal between the 2

u might need a new exhaust gasket the circle one.look at ur flange where it meets the cylinder and make sure its flat and no welds are sticking up.my f7 had a couple welds that stuck up and didnt let it lay flat with the cylinder.i grinded them down and then put a piece of gasket material that you can make ur own gaskets from i used that and it worked great

mines doing that too, havent got around to fixing it, i think perhaps a tighter spring or as someone mentiones, adding two will work...
