Found a full FMF exhaust for sale but I have a question. Does the FMF pipe require a different exhaust flange or will the stock one work? Thanks

you need the aftermarket. if he doesnt have it take some money off the price of the pipe, because the flange is about $40.00 shipped from FMF. I had to buy one.
yea..The flange is connected to the stock pipe,I got the exhaust way cheap but it doesn't have the flange for it. I will try to contact FMF directly. I also thought about cutting the stock pipe about 2-3 inches from the cylinder and trying to slide the FMF over top using the stock flange and adding a spring to secure it..
NO.. I know. I was cutting off the old pipe to have something for the FMF pipe to slide on to. I didn't have a flange for the FMF and was going to use the stock flange which totally mounts different than the stock one. By cutting the old pipe 2-3 inches from the cylinder (and trashing the rest of it) Thus giving me a 2 inch peice of pipe out of the cylinder to mount the FMF pipe. It doesn't even matter now any ways the dude backed out of the deal and I am still looking for another one.

i've got the shearer pipe in my garage right now and am waiting to install it. (i need to replace a case half first) and now i'm selling my f7 once i get it back from kennedy (he's gonna run a dyno test on it)
i know that the fmf thing fell through, but you should know that you really don't wanna cut off the flange and try to mount the pipe to the stock piece. the fmf already is a fairly poorly performing pipe, but to add even more resistance and suction by using the crappy stock head would just do you even more of a disservice than the fmf would do by itself!

Unless he posted more dyno results since I looked last the Vitos "Fat Bastard" is the pipe to have?
to me the pipe to go wit is the one i can afford and once i get one im done . really isnt any use on chooseing a pipe off because it has a few more dyno hp . thats like saying i notice a diffrence when i put headers on my z28 . i picked up 4 hp on a dyno but didnt notice any difference while driving it . its all just dyno hp . best experience i had on choossing a pipe was ask and riding other peopls quads where i ride at . each pipe hits in diffrent areas of the power band and go with the one you like the most.
