I've been running an old school FMF gold series pipe on my Blaster for about 15 years. Last time a did a top end I put in a Vito's super stock ported piston. I noticed it uses a lot more fuel now and have run out a couple times recently, so I decided to get the IMS 4.0 gallon tank. I was unable to install the tank because it was hitting the exhaust about and inch before the tank was in place. Has anyone else had this problem? I've been thinking about getting a new pipe anyway so I guess the time has arrived. Next top end I'm just gonna go with a Vito's 12 port 240 kit. A lot of people seem to swear by the LRD pipe but I was thinking that Vito's probably engineered their pipe to work well with their other products. So what do you guys think? What exhaust should I go with? How about Factory 7, Dynoport, or any right bend pipe? I would appreciate any advice you have to offer. Thanks for all of your help.

or just a different design that isnt so high in the frame. Kinda like how the LRD and Fat Bastard are a similar to a 250R exhaust. What do you mean by "right bend?" It is on the right side of the bike.

yes right bend pipes like the LRD, dyno port, power pros bend right when they leave the jug and do not come up and around back through the frame. i have a dyno port

The dyno port big volume, LRD and F7 are all great right bend pipes and work very well with big bores. The fat bastard is made to be ran with the vito's big bore kit but being the stock left bend it may get in the way and not solve your problem. If your gonna get a big bore a right bend is prolly your best bet anyway

I thought the fat bastard was a right bend, from the pics I've seen of it. I'll take another look at it.

i have a vitos an its alot bigger than the fatty if the fatty hits the vitos will probably be worse

I dont have the FMF Fatty. I got this pipe before the fatty was released. Its not that fat its just is pretty high in the frame. I'll go take some pics and post them. Or try to figure out how to at least lol.

your right thats way diffrent than the fatty that i have the vitos might work for ya then heres some pics of the vitos in the frame let me know if theres some diffrent angles you would like to see an i can snap a pic for ya I:I

That looks like it would be pretty close, but it might work. The expantion chamber looks like it might hit the left side of the tank but idk. Its hard to judge.

where the fattest part of the pipe is, on the left side, at the highest point it is about an inch under the frame

It might work. I could always call Vito's and ask them if their pipe will work with that tank. What other pipes have you used? Which was your favorite and why?

i got my blaster with the fmf pipe an then switched to the vitos when i rebuilt it with the port an polish an all that good stuff i havent gotten through the breakin yet to ride it the weather turned crappy on me half way through an i didnt feel like re jetting an everything again seeing how i hate working on carbs lol

One way to make rejetting much easier is swapping out the crappy philips screws on the bowl and replace them with a hex head. That way you can remove the bowl with the carb in place. It's much quicker.

my carb has the lil hole in the bottom of the bowl that makes it a lil easier i just dont have much luck with carbs i was suprised that i tuned this one in by myself i probably couldnt have done it with out blaster forum ive gotten a ton of info from here that made things alot simpler
