New to the forum and have done a bit of searching in hopes of finding my specific answer with no luck.
I would like to know what motor specific difference, if any, there are by model year.
I am also trying to find if there is a way to ID the year of my motor by motor number or some other means outside of what I have read is the stator wires (.
I found one of the differences is the stator wire count ( 5 wires 03+, 4 - 88-02 please confirm), but being new and having bought my motor on its own, unknown year, no donor VIN etc. I am unsure if any POs perhaps swapped a newer/older stator onto this motor (if that is even possible).
I am bringing back a few YSR50 projects, one being swapping in this blaster motor and need to know what I am working with to ensure I get proper parts, shop specs, electrical etc.
