Doing my first rebuild of a bottom end, on my 88 blaster. I have been careful and followed the clymer manual very accurately. My transmission was shifting fine when it was just the shift star with no stopper or shift shaft. Now with the shift shaft and stopper thing it sometimes gets stuck between gears like on the spike of the star. Is this normal as the motor has no oil right now and is still on the bench with no pressure on the sprocket or anything? Any help would be appreciated!
Just some info on my blaster. got it a half year ago with about 50 hours on the whole thing, was awesome. And I made the fatal mistake of not removing the oil injector and I roasted the top and bottom end on it.
