I just bought a 2001 blaster with an engine problem. I bought it for extra parts but decided it would be fun to rebuild. I have no background info on it but know that when I try and kick it over, it will not move like its seized up I think. Can anyone tell me where to start my troubleshooting.

Peace of metel in the bottom end jamming farts or no oil was ran in it and melted together but yea start by pulling the head and ckeck the flywheel
while jamming farts sounds viable, I would start by making sure it was in neutral and spinning the front sprocket listening and feeling for wierd crap..
then I would take the stator cover off and stick a socket (22mm i think) and a long 1/2" drive wrench on the flywheel nut and try to work it back and forth to "free stuff up, once free (or at least moving) you can pretty much tell if you have a bottom end problem or top end

ok so I pulled the head off and the top of the piston is destroyed. I was able to spin the sprocket with ease and I was able to move the flywheel but didnt want want to scratch the cylinder wall by moving the piston to much. also what is a jamming fart sorry kind of new to this stuff but very interested
