engine size/ parts difference

So, I need some parts for my Yamaha Moto4 200, I am selling my FMF Shorty pipe cause I need the money off it, My friend wants to buy it for his machine, but instead of just using my Moto4 without a silencer (lol) my friend has a wrecked Baja 90cc quad, and he offered me the silencer on it for free, so I figure what the hell. It is a fairly large silencer for a 90 (about 4" diameter and about a foot long), but the pipe going into it is small, so I plan to cut it off where it enters the silencer and weld my own pipe together to fit it. My question is, will it work with my 200cc? or reduce performance or not run at all? or just make it a lot quieter?

They're both 4 pokes, so I don't see a problem, but the engine size difference could be a problem, I don't know.

It's not the connection that will kill you but the internal pipe diameter. If it is small inside and through, don't use it.

what could happen? just lousy performance?

there really wont be a problem. it isn't like that moto4 is making a lot of power to start. it wont hurt anything to run it.

Yeah, just choke it up and reduce power.

wouldn't the smaller pipe running through it cause a problem though?

That's what I thought. It does rip really fast and powerful with the shorty, but it's just too loud. I want to stay friends with my neighbors and go riding on the empty streets at night.

Can you reccomend a silencer for a 4 stroke that will make it quieter without reducing performance, or making it minimal??
