Have a 2002 Blaster problem is it runs good in every gear unless i i have the throttle wide open then is seems to bog down. i ran the gas ougt today and before it ran out it ran like a raped ape. any ideas? thanks very much

when you ran it out of gas you might of sucked a piece of dirt or something in to the carb...take it off and take it apart and clean it out good......see if that help....i dont see why it would be jetting if it ran fine before..

Sounds to me like when it ran out might have sucked some gunk from the tank into the petcock on the tank or into the carb. keeping it from getting enough fuel when the throttle is wide open.

Ok, I had the carb cleaned and put back on after running out the gas. The old plug had some what of a cardboard color on part of the prong. Had a guy tell me today that he thinks my problem is the top end is weak. Does this sound right? Starts on the first or second kick all the time. Rode it today and it is still want to maintain a certain rpm with the throttle wide open. When in neutral revs up fine. Sorry so long just frustrating! Oh it has a 230 jet.

sounds to me like the floats may have gotten knocked out of adjustment, happened to mine, take any hard hits lately???, bent the tab and was floodin the carb just enuf to create a rich bog around 3/4throttle, check to see if its within specs, just a thought, because when it ran low on gas you werent gettin as much pressure into the carb, which allowed it to run leaner/normal

Sometimes the rubber piece under your seat will get sucked into your airbox intake hole if you have the the small adaptor that hooks to the hole off. Thats what happened to me

have u checked ur reeds, mine snapped it started but as soon as you hit the gas it bogs out. if it sparks, ur fuel is fine and carb isnt blocked it must be either an air leak or too much fuel.
