Engine question

Alright this is my first build and i just got the engine together and ready to start connected all fuel hoses but i have one question while looking at the engine from the back on the clutch side just below and a little to the right of the carb there is a little nipple to connect a hose the manual says its for ventilation is that right and where does the other end of the vent hose connect

you just run the hose back, it is to keep overflowing gas from getting onto the engine.

the original routing of the trans vent line is across above the carb and up along the frame rail to under the hood

Ok so it should be a pretty long hose then

ya i was thinking about the hose on the right of the carb, not of the engine.

yep the hose goes up along the frame under the hood.
