I installed a new cyclinder base gasket and started my bike. I cleaned the k&n filter, it was still a little wet but I installed it anyway. I took off and the bike was sluggish. I took the filter off and the bike ran great for a few minutes, thats when it started to over rev really high and I noticed transmission or crankcase oil pouring out of the overflow tube.
I filled the crankcase with a little too much oil but I could see what looked like air pockets in the oil tube as it was going into the carburator. Also, the bike was awfully hot with all of this going on... I did have the bike up in the air on its back wheels while I was changing the gasket. Do I have air in the lines? Do I need to bleed anything?
Is the filter being off causing the high rev and what is pushing the oil out of the overflow? Is the bike sucking in too much air without the filter on and pushing it out the transmission and into the overflow?
