hello,
i recently changed the gearcase oil, and from then my yamaha blaster has a dip everytime is shift up a gear , what could be the reason he does that? Its not always when the engine is warmed up, mostly when its cold.
i've cleaned the carburator cause i was thinking it maybe got some dirt from somewhere but it doesn't help.
Could it be that the cilinder is almost at its end?

Best regards

Firstly you should not be riding until the engine is fully warmed up.

Secondly, when was the last time you tested the engine for air leaks?

Thirdly, has the temperature got colder, have you re jetted to compensate.

Fourthly, what compression reading does it have?

Can you describe "a dip" a little better?
sorry for the late answer.
I don't know the exact words to describe it, my english isn't that good xD
But when i shift up it's like the engine falls back a little bit for a fraction off a second. It feels like shifting too early when your rmp's are to low.

best regards
