na. my thermostat locked up and it overheated before i could get to the shoulder and cut it off. pissed me off. i had only been driving it for thirty mins and it was right after i got it. hopefully in the next week or two i will have the motor swapped out and get it sold lol those cars are a pain to work on

i seriously doubt it. my friends fully built fox body mustang was only running like a buck fourty well atleast thats all he got it to lol most newer cars have governors on them anyways. we got an 05 tauras and it cuts off at 109. pisses me off lol

ha ha =)) my bronco II barely topped out at 85 (which is the highest number on the speedo) going down a very large hill, on a straight freeway, pegged in 5th gear, with a tailwind.... ha ha 20 over.. that'll be the day!

but with my XJ... damn. that needle ditched the speedo so fast and it was only at 3k rpms.. no clue on top speed though

funny stuff. lol. i love people who judge how fast a car will go based on the speedometer. i honestly don't know my 04 f-150's top speed because i've never tried to find it. i would assume 100-120'ish. i have had it @ 95 without much effort. i have a 98 grand prix GT with a fenderwell CAI, digital horsepower PCM, MSD ignition and coils that took me in the mid 140's, depending on the temp and humidity. i had a 91 bonniville SSEi that i got up to 165 on I-71 between cleveland and columbus. i also had a sweet 87 firebird formula350 w/ an LT1 drivetrain and a paxxon supercharger that i was doing 150's in running from the OSHP. i was doing 130 when i went off the road sideways and rolled it 6 times =[.

oh oh oh and i had an 87 toyota pickup 4cyl 4-speed that would do 112 wound tight!!! that thing ran until the body fell off it. 200k+ used and abused miles and it would start on the first try in the dead of winter.

i'm curious how fast my raptor will top out at. i think i am going to have my wife follow me down the road tonight and clock me. i'm guessing 50-60. i have used landmarks for timing and then ran the same stretch in my truck and can never get the timing dead on, but i'm guessing 50-60.

yodaman, my mom had an 89 broncoII that i had going 105 on a downhill. unfortunately when i backed out of the throttle, the sparkplug on the #3 cylinder disintigrated and went right through the piston.
