Don't know what is going on

Alright guys, I know i might not be able to receive any help, but I did a motor swap yesterday. When the motor was in one of my blasters, I had to fix the kickstart, which I did yesterday. It fired in that blaster so I shut it off and proceeded with the swap. When I got it into the other blaster, I hooked up everything and kicked it over a few times (full choke) and it fired. So I shut it off and called it a night. Now this morning I go out to mess around with it a little more, and try to kick it over. It won't run....It also smells really really rich. But, my fuel/air screw is only 1 turn out...which is way leaner than I normally run it. Still, it smells really rich. So I pulled the plug and it was soaked. Put the new plug in..turned fuel/air screw 1/8 turn lean, tried it again. Still nothing. I'm thinking about pulling the top end off. Any other suggestions before I spend the money on a gasket kit and possibly a top end rebuild?

your turning the airscrew the wrong direction, turning it out adds more air and leans it, 1 1/2 turns out to start
then check the reeds if that doesnt help

I would say your float needle stuck overnight and poured raw gasoline into the crankcase. Raw gasoline will foul out the spark plug and cause it not to fire making the problem even worse because each time you kick it over, it's putting MORE gas into the engine.

Replace the spark plug (or at least take that one out and let it dry off) and disassemble the carburetor paying special attention to the float needle.

Reassemble, drain a little bit of gasoline out into a cup (to make sure it wasn't trash in the line that caused the float to stick), hook the line back to the carb, and try to start it.

Awk is absolutely right. Turning the air needle clockwise ("in") makes the mixture more rich. 1.5 turns out to start with is the proper adjustment and then fine tune it from there.

WOOHOO! IT'S ALIVE! Haha. I went out to lunch and thought about a few things. When I got back I ran some fuel through the line into a bottle and it looked fine. Then I took the (soaking) plug out, put a new one in, took off the carb and emptied that fuel into a bottle, which was a little dirty, so I took the carb apart and cleaned the main jet and pilot jet (both of which were very dirty) and put it all back together. It fired on the first kick w/o hesitation. Now all I have to do is tune. Thank you again.

Poor quality gasoline has a tendency to evaporate quickly leading to deposits inside the fuel system. Starting your quad once every week or two will exchange the fuel in the float bowl for "fresh" gas from the tank and help fight deposits.

I normally ride at least 3 times a week. I also use 93 octane mixed w/Klotz Original Techniplate and use Star Tron enzyme treatment since our gas is 10% ethanol...plus this is a motor that I just bought less than a week ago in a blaster for parts..but I blew the motor on my avatar blaster so I swapped. I don't plan on letting it sit lol.
