I watched a vidoe of a re build and the star position is not the same as mine. Is there a certain one it should be on??

right there your in neutral. i did mine in neutral but i dont think theres anyone specific gear to be in.

ok and is the fork supposed to be able to move freely like if i tap it from the other side it moves left and right.

Do you have the manual? You will be surprised whats in it.

yes the whole shift fork will move in and out, you have to take this out in order to split the cases
