i've been doing a little bit of research cause me and my friend were talking about it today does any have any views? and if you dont know what it is. its the mayans predicted day to the end of the world

Well, I am not an expert but what I have read and watched has stated that it is not the end off the world. But it is the end of this period or cycle (from memory). The experts said that the Mayan calendar just predicts a major change. I believe that the year 2012 also is the year that our solar system crosses the galaxies equator (happens every 25,600 years). Maybe this is what they meant and the magnetic changes will cause some problems for a short time afterwards. IDK, but it is interesting!

like they say its guna be like major climate change and like earthquakes and sh*t like that. they actually say it could be like the day after tomorrow movie not exactly like that but like the equator will move and all kiinds of crazy wacked out sh*t

since it was rumored that there was a predestined end of the world, people have been spinning off the date and what's it's numeric significance is. when you get right down to it, numeric dates are a human conception. so, since we decided which day was 1/1/1, we decided what day is december 21, 2012, there's no way it could be cosmically aligned to anything other than circumstance. every generation has had it's dates of doom and theories linked through a cloud of vague teachings and downright incorrect translation. how many "end of the world" dates have we, ourselves, watched come and go? i can think of 3 right off the top of my head, and i'm only 32. 1/1/2000.. then 1/1/2001 "the true millinium", 06/06/06..

lets look at it from another angle. lets assume that december 21 2012 is the day when we cross the galaxies equator, something that happens once every 26,500 years or so. i'm thinking this is going to be a gradual transformation, yea? something that might take, oh maybe 3 or 4 thousand years to happen? so yea, something might be happening, but if it's going to happen, it's already started to happen, it's been happening for a long time, and it's gonna be a while before it's done. none of us will be around to see things much differently than they are now.

cold dont bother me... winter time riding gear...

mx helmet, goggles, snow mobile ski mask, bandana, tee shirt, sweetshirt, insulated carhart jacked , insulated cart hart coveralls, insulated boots, 2 pairs of socks.. summer riding glovers, under insulated winter gloves... iv rode for 6 hours straight on the lake in -30 degree temps dressed like that and was just fine

That was deep...lol right on

ok i did some reading after posting, the earths magnetic poles switch about once every quarter million years, they estimate. they don't really know with any certainty. they also don't know how long the transition takes.. anywhere from 1,000 to 28,000 years to reverse poles. the guy who thinks he has the most info says it takes 7,000 years, and happens at different rates depending on where you are in latitude. yada yada long story short, what will be different about december 21, 2012? nada..

I think the dude that was writing the calendar finally realized he would be long gone by 2012 and said "f*ck this! why do I care"

huh..i dunno...weird sh*t...i think it would be really cool to see...maybe the sun will explode or a black hole suck us up..now that would be cool...
