Do i need new rings on my blaster?

I have a 2006 yamaha blaster and it wont start very well. I was wondering if i should put new rings in it or put a bigger jug and everything all the way to 250cc.

first of all do a compression test on it to see where the compression is.


to get a true 250cc out of a blaster you have to go with a big bore kit, and a stroker crank

Check compression. If that's good then check that the inside of your carb is clean and that the air filter is clean. Take a close look at your reeds to. Also try a new plug after you do the compression check if it reads good.
