I found a leak where the cases come together .... if you are looking at the engine from the front of the blaster, it is just to the right and below of the exhuast outlet. Could this be a bad gasket and a crankseal, or just a bad gasket? :-/

what he said^^^ and are you positive its between the cases and not the base gasket? get some soapy water and spray it around where you think its leaking and do the test again

So, There is no gasket that goes between the cases? Or are you telling me that my gasket is junk? I wish I could say it was my base gasket, but I sprayed soapy water everywhere... I put 10 psi of pressure in it and it all leaks out in about 15 - 20 seconds. I sprayed where the cases meet and I got alot of BUBBLES!

ok, the only thing between the cases is a sealer. like yamabond. you can get it from the dealer or rockymountainatv.com

Okay, thanks for all your help! Looks like I'll be splitting my cases after I get my yz250 running..... So, you guys think it is just the cases not sealing? Could it also be my crank seal?

could be the cranks seals to.you will have to take off ur flywheel and stator to get to that one and take off the gear inside the clutch cover that goes on the crank to get to that one then do the leaktest and spray soapy water on it

Yup, might as well. I guess its pretty much a free job exept for the seals... Thanks for all your help!
