Diamond J shock conversion

Hey, just wondering if anyone is using the widening kit. I just got mine and it seems that the lower A arm bolts are just a tad smaller than stock and don' t fit as snug when put thru the a arm bushings Anyone else had this problem? Don't know if I should ride with the extra play in the bushings.

out of curiosity, does the widening kit come with new bushings? or are you using the old bushings?

i have the kit and it comes with new bolts and washers but no bushings

and duck, did u put the washers for spacers in between the bushings, that should tighten it right up

I did use the washers but when I tried the new bolt in the bushing just to test it, it seemed not as snug as the factory

I had a similar issue with the bottom A-arm bolts being a little on the short side (it needed 2 or 3 washers on each side between the plate and the A-arm or else the plate looked like it was flexing). I went to the hardware store and just bought bigger bolts.

I have a question for anyone running the Shock Conversion Kit. I had the 6" widening kit on and got the shock conversion kit. The bottom A-arm plates look exactly the same so i left those on. The upper A-arm plates and the Shock mount plates i switched to the ones which came with the shock conversion kit. Now it i's toed out at the top. Anyone have this issue/ solutions or suggestions?

Sorry, wrong Terminology. Toe in Toe out is not an issue, thats fine. Its my Camber/Castor. Top of my tires are out farther than the bottoms.

you CAN NOT use stock or even banshee shocks with the conversion kit. you MUST have long shocks. your short shocks are pulling the tires in. and damaging your a-arm bump stops. i went through the same thing.

get some 400ex fronts, or pony up for some yfz450 fronts, then you'll be good.

ruckus430 i have a regular +6 widening kit so yo could fit your blaster shocks. I have z 400 shocks and i need the shock conversion kit. let me know if you want to trade. i would also sell you my z400 shocks for $50.00 shipped. If I cant get the shock conversion kit I will just have to go with banshee shocks.

Sorry, forgot to specify that i have raptor 660 shocks on it. The middle set of plates that i got were off by about 1/8 to 1/4 inch (too long) and were pushing the tops of the A-Arms out. I put the plates from the widening kit back on and its fine now.

i have used both the blaster shocks and banshee shocks with the conversion kit and have no problems at all and i've been using them for almost a year
