Hello,I recently traded an '86 Honda Spree for a '94? blaster. Don't really know much about quads, but was told it has brand new Douglas wheels with new Maxxis Razr tires,FMFpipe,DG front bumper,Boyesen power reeds,KG clutch, been widened 6 inches front & back and has a +7 inch swingarm. Was told it needs a new top end. Just out of curiosity I cleaned the carb and put new gas in it. It started on the second kick and OH MY GOD this thing is STUPID FAST! even with a burnt piston. Not too bad for a moped I payed 20 bucks for at a garage sale. I've taken it apart and it does need a new cylinder and piston. Would welcome any advice about where to get parts or how to keep my wife from getting pissed for spending too much time in the garage! Thanks

Welcome to BlasterForum Pops, glad to have ya. Nice grab on the blasty, talk about a good deal, huh???

Anyway, parts are readily available via numerous resources, Ebay has nice affordable Wiseco kits for re-doing that top end, etc. Any machine shop/builder can freshen up that cylinder for ya depending on how bad it is, if it needs boring up as well as a hone, etc. Once you have a compression test reading and the head broken down we can help ya from there, have fun... Here is an example:
