I didn't bother doing a DIY for this because there were already 2 or three, bust though i would put some pics up to see what you thought, the only info i borrowed was the 6"x8" sheet size and the top mount, i did my own work for the bottom mount.

What do you think?

Looks good man , Nice work. The scoops I think make a huge difference on keeping the temp down . I'm going to add a radiator fan to the frame , going to mount it on the angled down tubes on the frame and aim it at the jug slightly angled to the cylinder head . I ride the dunes and it gets pretty hot out there .

sounds good man, i am in canada, typically doesnt get too hot. over 30 Celsius is decently rare, and thats 86 F for you yanks, hahaha, but anyways, how many watts will that take? are you runnin lights?

my headlights are LED's , thats Light Emitting Diodes to you Canucks , LOL , they only draw 3 watts each , so 6 watts total . My Taillights are LED's as well , and together they draw 3 watts , so I have plenty left over , I'm setting money aside for a upgraded 75w stator and a +4 degree timing plate . That will push me over the top , so I can install a battery and have plenty of juice to go .

they look good. i think stickers are a must for air scoops. and thanks for the celcius and fahrenheit conversion. i dont understand celcius... lol

i wish we used the metric system here.................it makes so much more sense. it'll never happen though....

The only thing imperial we use is building materials, and i like it way more, wish we did it for everything, but i guess the grass is always greener on the other side. And thanks guys, and yeh, stickers are a must, need to get some more though, those ones just came with the bars

Welll , to all you Commie pinko fags out there ....
Gotsta remember ONE thing here folks ! ! !

WE ARE U.S.A.

WE ARE LEADERS , WE ARE NOT FOLLOWERS !

( to those that are not the brightest bulb in the box , that means , we will NOT change , due to the fact , we HAVE our "system" and it has worked for YEARS , and we are NOT gonna flip over and FOLLOW someone elses foot steps , so to speak )

I'm 53 yrs old ...
they tried telling us when I went to middle school that by the time I was in college , we would all be using the metric system ... ( guess what ? 8-| .. they were WRONG :p and that was over 30 yrs ago LOL )

Anyway , back to the air scoops .
Nice job , but , how about some of you others out there that built your own , post some pics and show what YOU did in comparison to these .

What i did was used flat stock and mounted it to the frame with a U bolt, andthen bent it to the right shape with some pliers and a blow torch. One per side. I will get some pics tomorrow if i get a chance

I used flat stock as well heated and bent each one for a perfect fit the left lower bracket I had to bend around my fatty headpipe to clear everything came out good I have a thread in the custom fanning section when I did them
