So, I was going to go riding yesterday, I got all ready, blah blah blah, got my quad out, etc. I kicked the quad and it started first kick, no problem, but I was going to get it warmed up a bit before I took off (It was only like 45 degree out, so I thought it may be best to idle for a bit). It wouldn't stay reved up, I would have to hit the throttle to keep it alive, and it still died out. After it died out, I kicked and kicked with no choke on, then turned it on and it fired right up, and I just left the choke on for like 2 minutes (Didn't want to foul a plug) and it would be just fine. So I started putting down the field by my house, and I noticed it was throwing more blue smoke then normal, but didn't think much of it. It eventually all warmed up fine, and I started climbing some hills and whatnot. Well, going up a hill, I was leaning forward and noticed it was a lot louder in the front then normal. So I got to the top, and stopped and just reved up the throttle some, trying to find the source of the issue. I found a crack on the first left bend out of the motor on the header pipe. It is about 2 and half inches long, it goes over the crease in the pipe and onto the other side. I wasn't sure if maybe this was why it was hard to get running in the first place, and also, am I okay to ride it cracked? I'm getting a full exhaust kit soon, so I don't really want to weld it just for temporary purposes.
