well ive actually been riding my blasty recently and im definatly in the need for some more power. i been looking into getting a used 240 kit and i think i found one. my question is... i know you want to have a real good pipe and big carb for the kit but im currently running a fmf gold series with power core silencer and a 28 mikuni flat side carb. will this be okay to run with the 240 kit? also i want to run it with my stock crank... is there any issues with it and ive heard it could break the crank??? my reason is i am not made of money and dont wanna start upgrading everything. so any imput is great thanks.

you would be better off to just buy a whole kit like vitos or something
that way you get everything you need ,carb ,pipe etc
talk to kennedy_power hes doing a special on ported 240 kits until end of december i think

I would not get a used 240 kit. never know how the person before you treated it. I mean why else would it be off of the bike? also, you wont get the performance out of it with the FMF set up as you would Factory 7 or other pipe. The vitos fat bastard pipe works the best w the 240 kit cuz it is built for it. You should be fine with the stock crank and your carb...you will just have to jet up. Good Luck!

cool well i might go with the kit from kennedy power new and use my stock crank. ill see how it goes with the pipe and carb but ill upgrade later on. im already jetted up pretty high though im at 280 now and i rode yesterday and it was running lean. plug is like a dark silver color or a dry black but at a stop its idling high and kinda revving up. i may try a 300 and see where im at.
