compression

i started her up to warm up for a long days riding, first kick turns over sparks and dies, second kick same thing, then the third the kick start siezes???! so i tried to pop start it for the hell of it and it turned over but wont start. now when it kick it the kick start goes down with no effort and stays down when i let my foot off it. any ideas becuz im not sure becuase i rebuilt the bottom end in the winter and the top in the spring

sounds like a couple issues? if it turns over with no effort you have a compression problem and if the kickstart doesnt return then thats the kickstart spring. you can take the clutchcover off and diagnose that and then possibly remove the jug and see whats up with the compression. report back and we can go from there.

i think its the rings the walls are fine and no leaks gaskets are fine
idk if this could be the cuase but when i rebuilt it i put like 5 hours on it properly breaking it in then i got a full fmf system but i never jetted........ (im new to aftermarket parts and 2 strokes) could that have cuased it to siez?

running lean can cause all kinds of problems from overheating. did you retourq the head after the break in? maybe its blown out?

yeah i did i just found that 1 stud isnt tighting correctly so i should get that rethreaded and what do you think i should do with the jets, sense the jug is fine should i just get a new top end kit??
