Ok so I have looked n looked and can't find the info on the compression psi. I did my first compression test on my blaster today cause I thought that I was getting g close to a top end rebuild and wanted to see what the compression was at. Much to my surprise it was 132a psi. N this is on what I can tell is a stock top end. I can't remember what the psi vs octane was so I just wanted to make sure that me running 93 octane is good for this psi.

132 is excellent for a stock top end !!!!!

should be around 120+ ish, anything near 100 psi is gonna need attention very soon

Yeah that's what I thought n I was very surprised when it came out 132 I had to check it twice. Now I'm wondering what I would gain and lose if I take the base gasket out? And how far do u think I can go on shaving the head without needing higher octane fuel?

Don't just shave the stock head. You can and will get DETONATION depending how far you go. Just shaving a stock head gives very little in performace gain, and a leap toward detonation. You want to re-chamber the head with a proper squish band to get a performance increase without detonation.

A properly re-chambered head will give you the performance increase your looking for and still give you the ability to run premium pump gas.

Taking out the base gasket will give you more low end grunt. Raising the cylinder gives you more top end scream. Its fun experimenting with different base basket thicknesses,or none at all.

Great info, I am looking for more low end and the cheaper the better lol. Now I was just wondering if losing the base gasket messes with the port timing at all? Doesn't lowering the jug mean that the ports would open a tad later and stay open a tad less n close a tad earlier. Didn't know if it was enough to effect anything.

You got it!

don't forget to use some type of sealant like around the base.
