so its proven now with 190 psi of compression and jetted and a 21.5 cc head and a 100 thou of squish and for a 50/50 of c16 and pump gas will still detonate so i put another head gasket with the same set up and i got 165psi of compression with the doubled up head gasket and it ran good idled great and i was amazed so i called vitos today and got someone on the phone and was told 190 psi on a air cooled motor is way too much and that the head needs to be rechambered or buy another head from them...My question is,does the vitos bbk come with a 21cc head or someone machined it?im stumped on who has a good reputation and knows how to machine the head to run pump gas with my mods and is a decent price and has a good turn around time?

iv never had any thing done by him but ken occoner raceing seems to do good work and a bunch of people on here has had work done by him

not at the moment i dont have apicture but i will soon cause i will be pulling the top end apart, getting nervous if i hurt the motor or not so im gonna take a peek anyway.its a 21.5 cc head i think its a head for doing drag racing but i should have a pic up tommorrow

what is the normal operating temperture for the bbk motor???does anyone know will help me out so i know once i get the head done

The vito's head is a different head shape than stock but it's not machined, it's cast. It also has a "cone" combustion chamber instead of being hemispherical which isn't quite as good for scavenging.

Is this a vito's BBK on a stroker or stock stroke crank? I tried a vito's head on a +3 stroker (without the stroker plate) just for giggles before I cut the head and I had over 200 psi of compression. To say that it was incredible to ride for about 4 minutes is an understatement! Then it started detonating REALLY BAD and I shut it down.

civicsidude i have the same problem i have the 3mm crank in mine and the spacer plate/gaskets and i have over 190psi and it detotnated like a mo fo.so for hahas i put a extra head gasket which got me to 165psi so either i get the head rechambed or put the stock crank back in it...which one is a better idea?

you obviously dont have a rechambered head, i think it was recommended before for you to get your head done. im at half the thou then urs and i only run 91 oct non of that c16 crap....

keep the crank swap out the head.
