Sup guys as some of you may know I keep yapping about doing a build yadda yadda, well now the time has come. I'm going to start in about a week and a half!! :D

First thing first I'm going to be tearing down the entire bike to the bare metal frame.

Here comes the good part.
(NO this isn't a real conversation just for sh*ts and giggles)

Me: *Ring ring* ( Waiting for Mr. Oconnor to pick up) HEY KEN!! I WANT YOU TO WORK ON MY MOTOR!!
Ken: Sure Sal! What would you like done?
Me: Uhhh hold on let me talk to blaster forum and I'll give you a call back.
Ken: No problem.

Now my question is I really want to build a nice big crazy machine. No talking like drag crazy but faster than stock.

I've been searching around and found some good info:

1. Vitos 240 Big Bore Kit
2. Ken's Porting Job done
3. 4Mil Stroker Crank
4. I currently have an FMF power core 2 and a gold series fatty. What other pipes give more power?
5. What carb do you suggest I run?
6. What reeds should I run?

My question is what in addition needs to be done to make the porting/stroker crank/ and big bore all work together? And second, how much will the big bore/ porting and crank run me give or take.

Reminder Ken will be doing all this work for me.
Thank you all and sorry for all my questions, but if it wasn't for you guys at Blasterforum, my quad wont be where it will be in the near future if it wasn't for you guys.

ken will answer all them $$$ sign questions, and get you the vito's cylinder cheaper than anyone else, and prolly the hot rods +4 too
just let him handle all that stuff

as for pipe, any right bend will add heaps more uuumph than that fmf
ask ken what pipe he suggests to compliment his work

and there is only one reed system in my book......MOTO TASSINARI VF3'S

i'd go 35mm airstyker for a carb, and a cfm airbox with a uni in it

Thanks a lot Awk!! You da man brothaa.

Any body else have any other opinions.

My setup rips pretty good. I went with a +3 instead of +4 crank simply because I was doing my bottom end myself and didn't want to ship the whole motor out to be trenched.
Other specs are all in my sig VVVVV

Well Since Ken is already doing my top end I might as well have him trench my bottom end while my motors there. Plus he's within driving distance for me (2 hours maybe a bit more) So I avoid shipping.

ken will tell you straight out to go +4 crank, he's been seeing them plastic pieces on the +3's coming loose and pushing on the crank, prematurely wearing the main rod bearings or thrust washers < i believe thats how he explained it, and sumthin about the big end of the rod being shaved down, or thinner on the +3's

the +4 is a better crank all around

That the first thing he told me once I asked him.

Unfortunately All the work I want done is going to run me about a $1k + A new Pipe + Reeds + a Carb... So I'm looking at over $1500 to do the engine work. Now I'm really debating if its worth building up a blaster with all the money you put into it + what you can sell it for you can get a really really nice Yfz 450 08'-09' too! What do you guys think?
