I just rebuilt the top end on my 96 Blaster, rebuilt the carb as well. While it is warm from sitting in the garage it will start after 3 kicks. However if I load it up and drive even 4 miles and the engine cools, it will not start no matter how many times I kick it. I bring it back to the heated garage, let it warm up even an hour and she'll fire. I tried adjusting the air screw, nothing. WHAT am I doing or not doing? The blaster is .060 OS with stock pipe, FMF silencer and carbon fiber single stage reeds. HELP my blaster fans.... B

You pull the choke open, right??

For winter, make sure you're running a little on the rich side. The colder it is, the bigger the main jet you'll need. So if you jet it on a warmish day, and know you'll be riding in colder temps, go a little rich. It will bog when it warms back up again, but it won't seize, and all yo have to do is change the main back, and maybe the clip position if you messed with that too. Way easier/cheaper than a rebuild!

Check your plug and compression

Well, I pulled the plug, it was new yesterday and has slight black liquid coating. I set the plug on my woodstove and let it dry. Compression was 110 on 3rd kick. I put it back in my garage and sure enough it started after warming up for 45 min. I took it out and 10 minutes of riding she killed and I had a walk home. Any other ideas? I have a 29 main jet with the pin on the middle position.
H....E...L...P.. it's 20 degrees above today so it isn't even THAT cold.

Well, cold start my ass..... I got no spark. It started and ran twice yesterday (in the warm garage) now I have no spark......I saw the posts on no spark..... I HATE ELECTRICAL!!!! B
ps. TY for the input guys....

It's been below freezing for a week here and I haven't started mine in a over a month.. I went out 2 days ago and pulled the choke and on the 3rd kick it started right up and it has been outside the whole time. I think it was 22 on that day also. Today it only took 1 kick.
