just bought a 02 blaster a few months ago...clutch was slippin bad so i bought a new clutch, installed new clutch (vito's) and now upon start up and first few minutes of riding the clutch slips. so i just ride it easy burping the throttle every few seconds and then it grabs awesome....idk if this is b/c blasters have wet clutches and they all do it or what but it just kinda bothers me that i cant just hop on it and rip...any help would be great thanks guys

what case oil are u running i would check that if not for wet clutch then change it or if its over full, and also what plates are u running if u are running stock plates take out the first skinny plate with the was too and replace it with a full size plate, and rought up the plates with a sand blaster, grinder or scotch bight pad.

im runnin the right oil, i checked on here b/4 i went out and bought stuff, and its got the right amount in it, ill take that plate out and rough them up...also im not running stock plate, i bought a vito's clutch kit and it came with plates, but they have like little divets in them and are kinda textured, i read that those plates are garbage and i should switch them for the factory plates....thanks

To answer one of you questions, the clutch should grab hard and instantly. There are better clutch kits out there but what you have now should grab fine unless you have some huge H.P.

i put the fresh oil in as soon as i put in the new clutch, and no i dont have huge hp, its got a pipe and reeds...

lol sorry i gotta ask, did you soak the plates before putting them in and ahve you played with the adjustments at all?

Bought a cheapo kit on ebay from a reputable seller invoice shows 34.95 and they work great, came with springs too.

Check you have the proper amount of plates / friction discs and they are in proper sequence, the springs are up to spec - the center rod is adjusted to line up with the case and the drum dots are aligned for starters.

I would fix the problem as riding it at all with that slippage is only going to make the issue worse.

yes tey were soaked over night before installed, im probly not gonna get a chance to tear it apart for a day or 2 as im really busy for the next day or 2....thanks for all the info so far guys, keep it comin so when i get a chance to tear it apart i can get it dont right the first time...

problem fixed...idk what its called but as soon as you take the case cover off, the little nut thats on the middle of that plate that has the springs in it, i adjusted that and it grabs awesome....
