Okay i was putting motor oil in my trans for the longest time when i got my blaster, well it eventually messed up my clutch,

so i bought a tusk clutch kit

I removed the oem clutch which came with a spring type thing that was holding the friction plates in?

Ok so i put the new clutch in and i cant adjust the rod

for the rod to even touch the clutch it has to be screwed all the way in..

thats not normal?

as far as i know to adjust it i supposed to:

Push the lever toward the fron of the bike, tightin the rod untill the lever is pushed back where the arrows meet then tightin the nut?

your adjusting the clutch freeplay.. and your doing that correctly. i assuem your wanting to know if you use the spring washer in your new clutch right?

i dont think you use that thing with the tusk kit....here we go again, lucky im just copy and pastin this............... it took me 4 or 5 times to get this right, very frustrating, do all this with the cable disconnected at the hand lever so it doesnt effect the internal adjustment, open her up, again!!!, loosen the locknut and screw, back it out a little, (the adjustment shaft in the middle of the clutch basket) then where the cable connects to the motor lever, theres a notch that lines up, look on the engine lever for the little point and a mark on the case, line these up, make sure it doesnt move while adjusting, a freind would be good here, then move to the other side, tighten the rod in with a small straight screwdriver till you feel it touch, then i think i read somewhere to back it off 1/2 a turn, then tighten the locknut, <<<<definately use locktite here, mine almost came loose, and thats disaster, then reconnect the cable to the hand lever, and adjust your slack i also did this with the wheels off the ground, so i could spin them with the clutch lever pulled in,to see if the wheels spun free, or if there was engine lag as i released it, before i put it all back together

i tlaked with uni on the phone about this. he said one fiber palte has a bigger I.D. than teh rest so that is the one that the spring washer sits under.

With it all together and tight it still barely touches the lever,i think my ball is missing, sucks

Ya the second friction [starting at the engine] is the one with the bigger center hole the spring washer goes inside the disc.
