clutch cover bolt (stripped)

I tightened one of the bolts too much that holds the clutch cover on and now it just spins when its in all the way. It wont tighten. What can I do now to fix it? :-/

helicoil is your fix, unless it's one of the 2 long ones that go threw the dowels in which case you can use a longer bolt and put a nut on it. But a helicoil is best

i have the same problem and i don't think there is enough meat for a helicoil

I don't remember, but you can also tap it the next size up

i have one that stripped on my sons blasty, on the stator cover, a little longer bolt found some unused threads in there a litlle deeper
