im doing the bottom end on my 91 blastey and i dont remember ever seeing the clutch bearing is there a way to see if its still in the shaft?

If you have the engine out just tip the engine. The ball is seperate from the shaft it will just fall. That is if it is not siezed to the rod witch can be common.

are we talkin 'bout the bearing on the output shaft, or one of the others iside the clutch cover, or are we talkin 'bout the little ball that goes in between the 2 clutch lever push rods???

try holding a big magnet to the rod and push it in and out maybe it stick the ball and pull it out??? <<< that was redneck ha???

yeap redneck ususally works tho
like where would we be without ducttape and jb welds haha
thanks for the help

tape a small hose to the shop vac and see if that will suck it out, if not i'll send my
'ol lady she suck it outta there, hahahaaaa

If you think that it is stuck you can pull out the arm that your clutch cable attaches to, and blow compressed air down the hole[seal the blow gun with a rag or somthing]. This has worked for me in the past..

/\/\/\/\/\/\ that sounds like a plan to me, good info, give that man some reps if it works

Old post but I have the same problem...no ball bearing at all! Someone has had the motor apart in the past because it has a hot rods crank in it so im guessing they didnt know about it. Anyways is there anything else that will work like a BB or or a ball bearing out of something else so i dont have to order 1? If someone knows a place i could get 1 the help would be much appreciated!

yea, i called my old neighbor from my home state that owns & runs his own motorcycle repair shop...he had 100 on hand at a $1 a piece so hes sending me a few for the price of 1! Anyways for anybody else that comes across this thread needing to know the size its a 3/16 steel ball.
