The other day I was riding and I pulled the clutch in to downshift and when I shifted the quad downshifted with the clutch still pulled in. After that the clutch lever didn't have any tension it moved freely but it was moving the linkage in the clutch cover. Changed the fluid and it worked for a while now it is doing it again. Do I need to adjust the clutch from the inside?

behing the right hand cover is your clutch, in the middle there is a screw for adjustment, but your problem seems like something else has given way, id take the clutch plates out and check if the push rod is all functional without the tension of the clutch spring. come to think about it, perhaps the push rod has pushed through the nut in the center of the clutch housing?

adjust the screw in the center of the clutch till the clutch arm marking lines up with tht emarking on the crank case, then you know its right.

So I've been away from the blaster for a while but now that I'm back home. I have removed the clutch cover to get to the adjusment screw. Now I don't see what I am supposed to be lining up? Is it behind the cover on the left hand side of the quad?

no on the linkage (as you called it) on the side of the engine there is a little line behind it on the case. if you look at it you will see what you need to aline

idk which line ^^^^ hes talking about but i thought it was always the line that is top of the motor right under ur carb. it looks like an arrow. when u pull the clutch lever u will see the actuator move as u pull on it at the other end of the clutch cable aka the clutch arm. that arm should be aligned with the arrow. to adjust it look in the DIY its pretty simple. u'll be doing an oil change in the process too:D

just making sure thats what i thought but i didnt want to make a mistake, do i also need to have somebody holding the lever at the line while im adjusting the screw?

I just unhooked it from the actuator and moved it there. but most ppl had another hand toying with the lever to get it right i guess. then thats when u tighten the screw in the case. gotta use locktite too bc if the screw comes loose its gonna fk alotta sh*t up. u know whats crazy i NOW how to adjust it but i havent done it to mine yet. lol
