Hey all. I need some sort of clamp on filter, and I was thinking of using a conical. I found some on ebay that seem like they would work okay. Is there any reason anyone can think of NOT to run a filter like this? Because the motor is in a kart frame, there is no room or logical mounting point for an air box.

Here is the filter.

If you've got the motor mounted in something else with no airbox to restrict your airfilter usage, whatever fits will be great!! The bigger the better. Depending on where you ride it/what you ride it through you may want to make some sort of spash guards around the airfilter...essentially a very leaky aribox to keep water and mud off the the filter. You'll probably want to run filter skins on the filter to keep big stuff from getting clogged in the fins...they just make it so you don't have to clean the filter as often. Also, you want to try to mount the fitler as high as you can, away from the engine so that it sucks less dust that gets kicked up and cooler air.
