hey i was thinkin on gettin a toomey pipe kit and it always gives me the choice of chrome or plain steel... the chrome is like 50 dollars more expensive and it looks better but are there any performance differences in the chrome and the steel???

if they are the same pipe just different material then i would think they should have the same performance.
The power is the same but why not just pay the extra 50 for the nice finish. You wont have to prep it, or worry about it chipping or warring off. Trust me, spend the 50 youll be way happier in the long run.
and you only need 1 8 dollar can and no clears so it will be cheaper i used high temp engine paint in the pipe to the silencer and it still holds up good!
shoot look at mine had mine for about 2 years and theres no tellin how long the guy had it b4 i did i think the 50 extra dollars would pay off cause that paint will chip then you would have to paint it again and again... and if you wanted to paint the chrome you could but i wouldn't know why would you do that but on that episode of hot rod tv or watever its called on spike tv when they painted black over chrome wheels it looked real good
