hello, im new to the forum and to blasters themselves, well any way when i start the atv it will idle butt when i start to give it gas it seems to me that it doesnt get enough gas. now ive already changed the spark plug, ive taken apart the carb and cleaned the inside and out. also checked all hoses no leaks or cracks. im stumped!!

checked gas flow out of tank and that flows out the hose fast so that shouldnt be the problem or at least i think.

im guessing that it could be an electrical issue in the throttle system??

please help me i want to take it out riding again soon :)

do a search for "removing the TORS system"
and also the parking brake rev limiter switch if it's an 03+

both of those will limit the revs

cool i read up on it a lil and camjames007 basically had the same exact thing happen to him as it did to me.i will try the tors delete and see if that helps thanks a lot for the idea

ok so i tried the tors delete, i unplugged the thumb throttle button, the brain which is the top box with three wires and the ugly box button on top of the carb.....

and i read or saw the video that said ground out the green wire but there was no green wire for me to ground out......

anyway so i unplugged all that and tried to crank it over and same thing i can get it to start (after a couple mins of cranking) then it will stay runnin in idle,as soon as i start to give it gas it starts choking(meaning idle:normal engine idle sound, give it gas:you hear the air filter open up and suckin and it just dies)

so im at a loss about it, any suggestions on what it could be or did i not do the tors thingy right??? thanx for your guys help

I'm not 100% on this but I'm sure some else can confirm or deny this but I believe there is another system hooked up to the parking brake. If the brake is on or this is out of adjustment I think I can give you the same problem. Anyone who knows better than me please comment as I would like to know for sure myself.

funny thing is... i dont have any electrical goin to the brake. but it looks like there was some other cable that might have been there at one time...but the bike ran fine the previous 5 or 6 times that i have taken it out.

ive talked to a couple ppl out here and my dad says that he worked on a old ford once that he could get to start but whenever he would try to drive it it would fall flat on its face, he replaced a couple things same thing happened, then he replaced the brain and it fixed the chokin problem.do u guys think that the brain may be goin out?? how long do they last??

p.s. i believe i have a late 90s early 2000s model,my bike looks real close to a 01 in pics that ive seen
