This guy I know is selling a blaster for 450$$ its a 1988 he says it ran 1 year ago when he parked it in his barn it has an fmf full exhaust but brakes dont work. should i but it??????

Hell why not? Look it over good and point out any flaws to him and try to get it down even lower if you can. For 450 you cant go wrong, you could part it out for more.

if hes telling the truth about it runing, get it do a tune up, oil, filter, clean carb, sparkplug, gas. and that stuff. i would jump all over it.

still no blaster goes for 5500 new 3300 and i only payed 3000 because my dad works at razees and i got a second racing motor for it but i can only get it when i blow up my old one but ill just rebuild it anyway

yea i knew it was a good deal he sold it the day after i called him and i didnt have the money that second so i missed out

make sure it is not dry locked from sitting, kick it over a few times, if the kickstart wont move then it's dry locked.

you'll probably need to clean the carb out, and maybe clean the magneto contact area.

drain the tank and refill, if there's nothing major wrong with it it should fire up.

the blaster engines weren't changed at all from 88-2006
so you'd get the same power.

the brakes probably could use new pads and shoes, and a thorough cleaning.
