chain change?

is it important to change the chain ??????

absolutly... change the sprockets and chain the same time, or there is no point in putting on new sprockets

yea an old chain on new sprockets is absolutely pointless just like a new chain is on old sprockets.. you get better life out of it if you change as a set. unless your chain was relatively new and you were just swapping a 13 tooth for a 14 tooth or a 40 down to a 38. otherwise i would just do the whole deealll

Sunpro sprockets have a lifetime warranty so if you have those, just change them, I believe this is right?

I had an old chain on new gears for about a month with no problems. had to replace because of my +4 swinger. My 32hp alcohol powered briggs go kart has had the same rusty chain since i was 10, and switched gears numerous times no break yet. Probably not recommended but it can get you by. Just like a timing chain on a car they come in a set for a reason.

Yea I put my 14t front on my original chain and stil no prablems 6 months later
