when installin new chain and sprokets is there a break in to follow??? or just run em??? i installed a sun star chromoly front, and a rear and chain from parts unlimited, not sure of brand but.. i dont race.. and might do some small jumps, wheelies roosts, and drag races so im not worried about snappin teeth from landing jumps..

any thing special for chain break in?? same with sprokets? or just run it than check the tenthoin? and bolts on the sprokets..

posted this here because its off topic.. its for a 84 honda cr125..

ok thanks guys!!! it didnt take much to get the chain tight.. i think it might almost be to tight BUT the tire rubs on the brake support/ bar.. hard to explain with out showing.. had drum rear, and there is aaluminum bar that runs from the frame to the brake hub to keep the hub in place... im sure the chain will stretch a little to the point its safe

well on my buddies yfz when we changed his it took about 3 good rides of about 4 hrs each time then had to readjust the tension other then that fed you should be good to go. he also wasnt ramping or anyhting just trail riding an some wheelies here an then. other then that just keep an eye on the tension for a few weeks of riding then you should be good to go man. have fun. you should take a pick of the new sprockets an compar it to the old one where the roller of the chain is resting on one of the tooths of the old sprocket. lol

lol!! i held the rears together.. about 1/4 inch of teeth were wore off, and front had 5? teeth busted off.. i should have some vids tommrow of me ripping the cr125 and the 200x and the wife on the 200x

yeah 5 out of 13 teeth!!!! and the sproket on my parts motor was missing 2 teeth...

im thinkin i should have went with a 12 front instead of stock 13... i might order a 12 and try it out,

on my old blaster i had everysingle tooth busted off..
oh yeah and one more thing dirt bikes need more chain slack then an atv cause of the extra suspension travel
