Case carnage, is it salvageable?

First post!! I got a blaster for next to nothing last weekend and the fella who had owned it said it needed a new piston, because it had been bored and he bought a std piston kit. I got it home and immediately pulled the jug and this is when things got weird. I saw right off that it was a .5mm over piston stuffed into a very worn but never bored cylinder (ovaled to 66.37 at the widest point). I then discovered after pulling the piston off the crank that the kickstart was stuck right where it was and the crank would barely turn when I grabbed the stator and turned it. I pulled the clutch cover and found the lovely sight which I attached below. I believe what sheared was the stop for the kickstart. My question is: if I pull all the gears and clean/inspect them and the case EXTREMELY carefully, is this salvageable, or am I looking at a boat anchor?

By the time you spend money to have it fixed it will be cheaper to buy a new case halve and or cases. Plenty of them out there, especially right sides.
