The quad will start no problem but when the motor is put under stress or you give it alot of throttle it bogs down and runs like the choke is pulled out...Almost like its starving for air.More or less it runs like the choke is always on. If you pull the choke out while running it will completely die. The thing doesn't evan have enough power to make it up a small incline. I just cleaned the carburetor. What am i missing? Could this have something to do with the actual choke mechanism in the carburetor? This isn't making any sense. Like i said it runs like the choke is on 100% of the time and when you pull the choke out it will completely die. It never did this before so I know it has something to do with the choke I just don't know were to start. That is the key thing in figuring out the problem. Why is it running as if the choke is always on? What would you suggest?

Please help^^

Also put in a new coil and reeds all lines are clean and clear petcock is clean gas is clean all is good just runs like the choke is on all the time. It has plenty of compression. Also you need to hold the throttle open just a hair to keep it to idle or it will get no spark but that's a whole other problem I'll worry about later. I think that has something to do with that little button sensor on the inside of the throttle cap I Guess something electrical.

I removed unplugged the tors and it helped the idle but as far as power Its still doing the same thing. Sometimes it will rev quik but like i said thoe if i put the engine under any stress it has no power whatsoever it just wants to run like the choke is pulled out all the time. Could it actually be the choke assembly itself in the carb? And thank you guys for your help its hard to find it these days.

Why is it running like the choke is pulled?

The reeds brand new... Just installed... I was outside messing around with it a minute ago and this is kind of hard to explain over a computer but its like it idles fine and when you like rev it up or over rev it it acts like its just sucking in alot of oil and less air and bogs like crazy. Then after you let off the throttle after hammering it you have to hold it at like half throttle for about 5 seconds so it wont stall out and just to get it back to were it will idle normal or rev smooth again. Then it will act fine as long as you dont over rev or put the carb under any stress. Thats why this has me so baffled.

Imagine it like this get on your blaster, pull your choke all the way out when your motors hot and try to ride like that. Thats exactly what its doing. But its doing that and some. Ive been riding this blaster since 98 and when i would pull the choke out while riding it would act the same way its acting now. But now if I evan go to pull the choke out half way the bike will automatically cutoff. Is there an air screw that needs to be adjusted? Is there a part in the carb that has to do with the choke that could need replaced. Also the choke will no longer stay out on its own if that helps...
