whats a good brand and size for upgrade for my blasty?the motor is stock for now..my carb itself is in rough shape with gouges on the outside so i was looking to get a new one..any ideas on next size up and a decent brand?

Mikuni VM 26mm will suit a stock bike just fine.

Yes, I'd just look for another stock replacement carb that is in better shape than the one you have. They are everwhere out there.

If you reallly want a bigger carb, get a Keihin PWK 28mm. They are also plentiful, pretty straightforward to tune, and the flat side design improves throttle response slightly. You can use an aftermarket 'TORS Eliminator' throttle cable meant for a stock Blaster carb with the Keihin carb.

The 28mm PWK carb will also fit into a stock Blaster intake manifold, and you can usually heat and stretch the airbox boot as well and make it fit. I:I

thanks.. i found a keihin 28mm on ebay new pretty cheap..it comes with 140 main and 60 idle jet.. where should i be in jet size for winter? about 25-30 degrees, stock motor, uni filter, air box removed and full fmf fatty installed..

You're gonna need a CEL needle, somewhere around a 150 main, and either a 45 or 48 pilot jet. Id buy the needle, both pilots, and 145-155 main jets to begin your tuning.
