Carb Tuning

hey bob, where ya been, bansheeHQ ??????
nice post

heck no man ive been doin research day after freakkin day on what could b wrong with my shee...

so im not sure if im running lkean or rich but im think im running lean cause she still pings a lil an cuts out once in a while on 1 cylinder so i think i need to go bigger an im at a 360 main an my buddy told me i should only have to have like a 260 in her.... im so lost

well i did have a big leak that i found cause i smelt burning oil an when i tore it down i had a freakin zip strip pancaked between my head gasket an case. i know my own fault. i really dont know where the zip strip came from but man what the heck. so i put it all back togather an then it ran great on both cylinders an then when i start gettin into high rpms it stops runnin on 1 cylinder an then it just cuts out tell i pull the clutch in.

so if my headlights arnt plugged in an if the wires r touchin the frame could that maybe be causing the problem????

no shouldnt be, the lighting coil is seperate from the ignotion coil down in the stator, but that definately sounds electical, it'll only do it at high rpm's under load, and dont count out sumthin as simple as plug wires and boots, inspect them real good
305 chased a similar problem at busco, it was the plug wire, after we all tore into and rejetted his carb a thousand times

hmmmm. well there is a white wire that come off my ricky stator that is hooked to nothing an its tapped off... i have no idea what it goes to an cant seem to find out what its syuppose to goto ethier. that might even be my problem

i've heard of troubles with them ricky stators on banshees, joey from es2 had probs at busco

you on e2s ?????
them boys over there know their banshee sh*t, thats where i'd start a thread and get help

ok i found it .017 so anyways my quetion is if it does touch the fly wheel notches while its revolving would that b an issue u think maybe???

not sure what you mean, but sounds like a prob, and may have damaged the windings ?????

maybe my pos paint pic will help lol

those notches hit my pick up jus ta lil bit

i'd say thats definately a problem, try setting to the spec you listed above, if it didnt already damage the pickup

thats what im startin to think.. idk why i didnt even think of it until i was reading something about the stator wires for my stator an started to think about my pick up gap an was like im an idiot lol

sometimes it just takes a little brain coaxin from your bro's
do you have a stock stator to try ?????????
