When rebuilding my carb I took the slide or piston, whatever you want to call it, out of the top of the carb. I went to change the needle jet but relized that the previous owner had changed it and moved the clip 1 slot down. So I went to put it back together but forgot if the holder covered the top hole, which you can see in the picture. If this whole is spose to be covered by that holder than I think this may be why my blaster wont start. Thanks

The clip is supposed to be 2nd from the top, which is stock...and what exactly do you mean by holder??? is it that little plastic piece that goes on the needle when inserted in the slide???
I think he means when you put the cover on that the 2 little screws go into, the extra hole in the slide should be open. I have the same question, because I didnt pay attention when I took it apart.
LOL so there's three of us that took out needle out without paying attention. i put boyesen pro stock reeds on mine and went to adjust the needle clip one down and am now stuck cause it runs like s***. I can't even remember if i put it closed or open.
refer to your service manual for stock jetting and yes when you don't have the plate in and the slide tries to come back down the needle will stay up and your gonna be suckin a ton of fuel being the main jet is now fully open, the needle could possibly jam your slide causing you quad to not idle back down, reguardless yes the plate is there for a reason put it back were it was and as for a service manual or owners manaul will even tell you they're both on this forum, if your not farmiliar with how stuff comes apart or goes back togather you need to be refering to a manual of some sort or your gonna cause perminate damage either to your carb or your motor or prolly both, but hey asking is how you learn, next time take a pic with your phone before you take something apart that's easy enough to refer back to, i'm a 8-5 mechanic and i do it from time to time, better safe than sorry
exactly nick, cover the hole, if you look at the bottom of the plate, you'll see the mark from the slide hole as it was covered
