lowell, in
so my blaster was running ok, then i went to show my buddy and when i started it it just kept reving slowly higher and higher,so while it was running i turned the thumb screw on the top of the carb back a turn and it slowed down , then it died, so i put it back in its original position , and now it still revs up, (if it starts), which is only if u choke it, then it runs for like 5 seconds and dies, i have wait a few minutes before it will start again, and my buddy did the same thing to his and his wont start, both were running fine til we touched that screw, and even though the screws are back where they were they run completly messed up any experts out there????????????????

that top thumb screw on your carb is for the idle. go look at a blaster serivce book (somebody has a link to one on this site) and you need to ajust it. I am pretty sure that turning the screw clockwise will raise the idle and counter clockwise will lower the idle. You may have thought that you put it back "how you had it" but, you probably didnt.

no i marked it with a pen and counted the turns, it did idle down when turned, but it wouldnt stay running, even if, by the time it sounded decent, the screw was out 4 turns, way too much it was at 2 and a half, but when i put it at 1 and a half, it starts better but wont stay running

hey got a quick question on this what type of pilot jets do the stck carbs use i want to order some new ones, but dont want to take the carb out i see all kinds of mikuni pilots out there
