carb problem??

Well i just got done rebuilding my blaster engine, but a new (used) tranny on there and was working on tuning it.. well the first day i started it wouldn't idle at all but i could ride it fine all through the throttle. then the next day i fixed the idle but it wont go fast? cant really describe it but ill try..

First and second get going pretty good, the whole rpm range works. but once it gets into third it goes out.. wont go above half throttle and goes really slow.. rpm's are low.. im pretty sure its a carb problem.. new jetting maybe? its at the stock setting right now.. 230 i think? the jet needle is set at the second one from the top.

could i get a few suggestions please? i've done alot to try and fix it but nothing helps..

sorry i ment tuning the carb not the tranny.. kinda sounds like i said im tuning the tranny haha my bad.

also could it be the TORS system thing? i've heard they go bad..

fill in your signature under the "user cp" so that it tells us how your blaster is setup. also there is a good article about jetting that is linked in my signature (you may have to copy and past it into your browser). to me it sounds like you are either rich or lean and most likely you are lean. i do believe that a 230 main is stock. if you have any kind of mods to the engine (pipe, silencer, open airbox, etc) you will need to rejet. also the search function on the site is great for research while you are waiting for a response or to research your problem before posting. a video would help but more info about the setup is very important. i would not do anything until we know your mods and jetting. i would hate for you to burn up your engine getting us a video. hope this helps I:I
