Hi guys have a question about jetting on my blaster because im new to them .. my question is what should my jetting and needless be with a uni filter with stock airbox lid stock reeds stock pipe with baffle removed, bored. 020 over and i have done the porting from ken,s video .. and i live in erie pa .. i dont know what elevation that is lol .. and if i go to an aftermarket carb like a flatslide what are the benefits? And i will be getting toomey pipes and reeds and a head mod from ken soon too thats y i ask about the flatslide carb ... sorry for all the questions like i said in new too blasters ... thanks guy

stock pilot, airscrew at 1.5 turns out to start, stock needle on the middle setting, bump your main about 2 sizes to a 250 and check your main jetting with a plug chop

http://www.blasterforum.com/do-yourself-20/how-plug-chop-38674/

that will tell you what your bike is doing, rich/lean and be exact for your elevation, follow the above link to a "T" and go up or down accordingly, but a 250 will be close

when you get another carb, and your other mods all done, we'll be able to help you again

Ok .. ya i have a 220 in there right now .. i was just wondering becausr i have never ran this wheeler i bought it blown up and had ken do a bore on it and a crank rebuild and i just want to make sure im safe till i can get it broke in and then start jetting ... i just didnt want it too be super lean when i go to start it for the first time

the stock pilot and needle on the middle clip will be fine for starting and doing your heat cylces and break-ins,
as you should not be doing any 3/4 - full throttle (main jet) revving until after those are done
throw that 250 in there and you'll be fine to do plug chops also

Ok thank u very much awk ... man am i glad i found this forum .. its like crack for motor heads kust cant get enough lol

Ok thanks again ... if im looking at a right bend pipe what is a good one too get thats a reasonable price? .. i ask cus i see u have a right bend on yours

i'd take any of the right bends for the "reasonable price" mentioned, if you can find a used one ?
F7/trinity/CT are all the same power pro's pipe, LRD and Dyno Ports are also good

i've also just learned.....do not count out the FMF pipe,
we just threw one on my buddies basically stock bike, rejetted for it, and the damn thing rips !!!!!!

i've always promoted the right bend pipes,
(if you spent hard earned money on it, it has to be the best mentality)

but i really like what that FMF did to that bike !!!

It is quite amazing what a FMF, DMC Alien, or Toomey will do to wake up a stock motor.

O M G  I just felt the earth stop for a micro second 8-| AWK actually complimented something OTHER than a right bend I:I

i think the red sea parted again also !!!!!:D

learn sumthin new everyday, and that little stock bike rips with that FMF,
no bullshit !

Ok thanks very much .. ill keep an eye out for an f7 setup but there so hard too find ... amd were can u even buy a dynoport pipe and silencer at?
